To witness the district's historical changes and involve community participation in environmental improvement work, the Wan Chai District Council, the Wan Chai District Office
and St. James Settlement jointly implemented the "Open Air Art Gallery", a footbridge beautification project.
Through depicting the "50 Scenes of Wan Chai, past and present" in the gallery, the project successfully involved the community in the preservation of cultural and historical heritage and
helped fostering the sense of belonging among the residents.
