Geocache Description:

NL : Mooie plek aan de oever van de Semois FR : Place agréable au bord de la Semois EN : Nice spot at the bank of the river Semois - Owner maintenance done at 04/01/2016 : the cache was still in excellent condition and on the same spot where i placed it initially.

FR Cette roche porte ce nom car les frères Lenel(le), originaires d’Azy, y avaient établi leur atelier de faux-monnayeurs. Une caverne leur permettait de travailler discrètement. Cependant un filet de fumée attira la maréchaussée, les frères furent pris au collet et pendus. Entretemps la caverne s’est éffondrée. Uniquement l’entrée est encore là. NL De rots draagt de naam van de broers Lenel(le) uit het nabijgelegen Azy. In een grot hadden zij hun atelier voor valsemunterij ingericht. Een rookpluim trok echter de aandacht van de maréchaussée. De broers werden in de kraag gegrepen en opgehangen. Ondertussen is de grot ingestort. Allen de ingang is overgebleven. EN This rock owes its name to the Lene(le) brothers, counterfeiters from the nearby village of Azy. They had installed their workshop in a cave. However, a plume of some smoke drew the attention of the maréchaussée and the brothers were captured end hung by the neck. In the meantime the cave has collapsed. Only the entrance remains.
