This secret little lake is hidden right before your eyes in the middle of suburban Paraparaumu. Unfortunately if you would like a better view of it you will need to be of retirement age and be residing at Summerset Retirement Village….. Or at least be willing to visit someone who is!
This cache too is hidden right before your eyes and might be a challenge for some of you to find. You are looking for a well camouflaged pill container so sorry but there’s no room for any trades or trackables.
Access is from Guilford Drive which can be quite a busy road so please be careful and don’t park in the bus stop as twenty strangers might get in your car. You will then have a short walk across a small piece of council land described as a “Flood Overflow Path”, though I’ve never seen any water here. So if we have just received a record setting level of rainfall or the area appears to be underwater then it might pay to leave this cache for better weather. There is a fence between this land and the lake which you will not need to cross however it is not like a pool fence so please keep an eye on the young ones while looking for this cache.
You will need to bring a pencil or pen to log your find. Any on-line logs not corresponding with the log sheet will be removed. Please ensure the cache is left exactly as you found it so the next cacher to come along can also enjoy the find.
