While not the only Pine up here, and not the obvious one you see on approach (not used due to amount of gorse blocking access), this one is a little lonely. Whichever way you approach this cache you will have undertaken at least a little strenuous exercise. Suggested quickest route is from Wilkie Crescent in Naenae.
As always the weather up on the hills can be a bit more challenging than down in the valley, and can change rapidly - come prepared. The cache is a 200 ml sistema and contains a log book only, a pencil and sharpener (but bring your own pen ... just in case). The cache is at the base of title namesake.
