Edward Simeon - Revisited Traditional Cache

An urban cache in central Reading - replacing a previously archived cache.

EXTREME RISK OF BEING MUGGLED AS THE CACHE IS HIDDEN IN MARKET PLACE, READING. THE AREA IS VERY BUSY MOST OF THE TIME. PLEASE BE VERY DISCRETE RETRIEVING THE CACHE AND REPLACE EXACTLY AS FOUND.

The cache is located near the Simeon Monument in Reading's Market Place. Edward Simeon, who was director of the Bank of England in the distant past, commissioned the monument due to his love of Reading – or perhaps to help his brother get elected as an MP. The original cache that was here was one of the first I ever found and partly because of that it remained one of my favourites.  It’s been archived for a while now so I thought I’d replace it.

I’ve used the co-ordinates from the original cache, which were good enough for me to find it, but GPS reception is poor due to tall buildings in the vicinity. If you are struggling then send us a message and we’ll give you an extra hint.
