The Moscow Cemetery was established in 1830. It is well known for the Owen monument because it is the statue of a life sided young man. The story is that when he died his mother had statue of him made in France. It was placed so she could look out her window and see him, but he didn't have a hat so she ordered one. It was stolen several times, and eventually it became too costly to replace so therefore no hat.
