Για να φτάσετε στο κουτί της κρύπτης περάστε από τις ταράτσες του Καφέ Βότσαλο. Όταν θα δείτε τις ταράτσες, θα ξέρετε γιατί το λένε Βότσαλο το καφέ. Κανένα πρόβλημα να περάσετε από 'κει, είναι το κανονικό μονοπάτι για την μικρή μικρή παραλία βόρεια του καφέ.
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ: Μην σκαρφαλώσετε στους βράχους στα βόρεια της παραλίας. Μπορεί να βρείτε και εκεί μια δυνατότητα για να φτάσετε στην παραλία, αλλά η δυσκολία του εδάφους είναι 2 - ΟΧΙ 5 !!! Λοιπόν, κάντε το με εύκολο τρόπο και περάστε - ΧΩΡΙΣ καμία ορειβασία - από το καφέ.
Όταν φτάσαμε εμείς πριν από κάποια χρόνια με το ιστιοφόρο μας στην Κρήτη, μέναμε στην Μαρίνα της πόλης. Από 'κει πηγαίναμε που και που με την μικρή φουσκωτή βάρκα σε αυτή την παραλία για μπάνιο ...
… και κάτι άλλο: Δεν καθαρίζονται όλες οι παραλίες κανονικά, αν δεν είναι επίσημες παραλίες για μπάνιο. Λοιπόν, φέρτε μια σακούλα για να κάνετε λίγο: "Cache In Trash Out".

The Greek word «Βότσαλο» (Votsalo) means "pebble". To reach the cache pass through the terraces of the Café VOTSALO, where the terraces are covered with pebbles. No problem to use this way, it is the normal way to reach this tiny little beach north of the café.
ATTENTION: Don't try to do some climbing northerly of the cache. You can reach the cache as well this way, but the terrain degree is 2 and not 5 !!! So do it the easy way - WITHOUT any climbing - passing the café.
Maybe you are with your boat in the Agios Nikolaos Marina as we were when we reached Crete by boat some years ago. Then you may use your zodiac to come here ...
... and something else: Beaches are cleaned from garbage only if they are official public beaches for swimming. This one is not. Would be nice you bring a little bag to do some "Cache In Trash Out!"

Das griechische Wort «Βότσαλο» (Votsalo) bedeutet Kieselstein. Um zum Cache zu gelangen, geht ihr an dem Café Votsalo vorbei, dessen Terrassen mit Kieselsteinen gepflastert sind. Kein Problem, wenn ihr über die Terrasse des Cafés geht. Das ist der normale Weg zu dem kleinen Strand, der nördlich des Cafés liegt.
ACHTUNG: Kraxelt nicht in der Steilwand nördlich des Caches herum. Von dort kommt man zwar auch zum Cache, aber die Geländewertung ist 2 und NICHT 5 !!! Also es geht ganz gemütlich - OHNE Klettern - durch das Café!
Falls Ihr zufällig per Boot kommt, dann geht das natürlich auch. Wir sind seinerzeit in Agios Nikolaos mit unserem Segelboot angekommen, und hierher aus der Marina mit dem Schlauchboot hergetuckert …
… und noch etwas: Strände, die keine offiziellen Badestrände sind, werden nicht routinemäßig vom Müll befreit. Dies hier ist kein offizieller Badestrand. Schön wäre es, wenn ihr eine Plastiktüte mitbringen würdet: Cache In Trash Out!
