The cache is a small tab lock box with log and pencil, it is hidden about 20 m away from the new path, there is a track to the cache. The dam was built in the late 1950s to provide extra water for Armagh and surounding villages, covers an area of 70 acres and holds up to 490 millions gallons of water, it is a very popular fishing area, stocked each year with rainbow and brown trout by Armagh Angling Club.
