A letterbox style adventure in the St Louis Galleria Mall. In order to complete this letterbox you will need to follow the clues below and gather information from different locations around the mall. The final is not located on Galleria property but is nearby. After you have found each of the numbers and plugged in the coordinates there is a geochecker at the bottom of the page to verify your solution. Here are the clues:
The final is located at N 38° 38.ABC W 090° 20.DEF
*Note* several of the plaques are gone so I have added the answers to the missing values below.
1) Proceed through the doors into the mall. The first spot along your route is the pyramid of falling water, north of yesterday. Find the year of this sculpture on the plaque and ADD the first and last digits. We will call this number A. A = 2
2) Continue straight to the place where wishes are thrown in water. You are looking for the plaque that begins with, "To help your dreams and wishes come true…" Look at the second plaque above this spot ( the one with three words). Count the number of letters in the last word, we will call this number B.
3) Proceed south till you reach the oceans of time (The pillar of falling water). Count the number of letters in the artist's first + last name and then subtract one. We will call this number C. C = 6
4) Continue south to the escalator. Goto the second floor where you will proceed north. After walking a ways, turn left to the south bridge. Across from the restrooms, you will see a large work of art. Look for Bob's last name underneath the bank. The number of letters in Bob’s last name equals D.
5) Continue north, the next step is to find the north bridge. You are looking for the "Day of Two Dawns." Once you find the sculpture, you are looking for the first digit of the year on the plaque. We will call this number E.
6) Follow your belly now down to the depths of the mall. You are looking for "Pick Up Sticks." From the plaque, take the last digit of the year and add one. We will call this number F.
The final is a preform container. There is a small stamp used to mark your visit. Please leave the stamp in the cache. Have fun!
