Geocache Description:

REVOLUTION HOUSE

In 1688, three local noblemen, the Earl of Devonshire, the Earl of Danby and Mr John D'Arcy met at Whittington disguised as a hunting party, to begin planning their part in the overthrow of James II. A rainstorm sent them seeking shelter to the Cock and Pynot alehouse. Now known as Revolution House, it is a free public museum. There is a display of 17th century furniture, a video on the Revolution of 1688 and a programme of special events through the summer.

The  cache IS NOT at the posted co ordinates , they simply take you to a location where you need to work out the formula to take you to the real GZ .

There is NO reason for you to have to enter the grounds of the property at the posted co ords , all the information can be gathered from outside its boundary .

The final location is at :-  N53 16.ABC     W001 25.DEF  , and you should be able to work it out by solving the following questions :-

A)  The number of letter W on the plaque above the front window   = ?

B)  The total number of lines (not including the date at top ) on the plaque on the L.H.S. of the building  -  the number of name plaques on the nearby memorial = ?

C)  On the same plaque (LHS of building) , which line mentions the Cock and Pynot  = ?

D)  The number of letters in the 2nd word on the 5th line ( LHS of building) = ?

E)  The number of lines of words on the plaque above the front windows + the number of walls (sides)that surround the nearby memorial - the day the Revolution house re opened = ?

F)  The TOTAL number of leaded windows around the Revolution house ( make sure you count them all)  - the number of men who met up to start the revolution  = ?

Good luck .

The cache itself contains only the log book , so please BYOP .

The area is a very muggle infested place , with residences nearby as well as a public house too . Also , there can be an abundance of traffic muggles that pass by , or could even be visiting the nearby community hall .

This cache is suitable for all , including disabled access , to be able to visit all locations to gain all the relevant information , but the D rating will reflect on the potential muggle level .
