Billboard 2-track Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ralfcoder: I'm archiving this spot. It never got a lot of traffic, and this trail has turned into a dumping ground for old tires, and other trash.

Geocache Description:

This is a medium-sized cache hidden in a typical way.  The entrance to this lot should be pretty apparent.  Use a little caution when driving in.  The lane is passable in most conditions, but if there's snow or the lane is muddy, you may want to just park near the pavement.  There's a turnout within the first 100 feet from the entrance where you can park and walk the last few feet.

I've looked at this little 2-track many times, thinking it might be a good place to hide a cache.  The road is here to allow crews access to the nearby billboards when they need to change the sign.

Warning - be sure that you go WEST from Francis Rd, not east.  There's a 2-track going that way that is used to access another billboard on that side of Francis Rd.  However, that road is rutted, muddy, slick, and a lot harder to get through.  I tried it in wet weather with my 2WD truck with summer tires, and spent some time getting out after I almost got stuck.  I wouldn't go back in there again unless it was dry weather, or I had 4WD.
