'uddersfield 'ogmanay 2015 Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Penfolio: Well, I think it's time to put this one to bed for another year.

Thanks to all who attended, made merry, donated raffle prizes and, bought raffle tickets.

Thanks also to my right hand woman, Clare from CnJnA without who's help, we'd never manage to organise a raffle as I'm always too busy chatting/drinking/losing track of time.

Where?

The Head of Steam
St Georges Square, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 1JB Tel. 01484 454533

When?

Tuesday 6th January 2015 : 7:00PM - 11:00PM

The Head of Steam

The Head of Steam is a pub housed in the Grade 1 listed railway station buildings and, it may be accessed directly from Platform 1. The main entrance is from the recently renovated St. Georges Square.

Being well served by local and regional public transport links, you may choose to leave the car at home and take the opportunity to sample a few glasses of whatever tickles your fancy. That is of course, so long as you're not still suffering from the excesses of the holiday season.

Finding your way back home?

Train station, 0 metres.
Taxi rank, stumbling distance.
Free on street car parking (after 6pm), 100 metres.
Bus station, 250 metres.

Those of us that enjoy our real ales will be well catered for as the pub has 10 well maintained hand pumps knocking out the good stuff. There's usually a selection of guest ales, guest lagers, cider and stouts too.

Food is served until 9:00pm with last food orders taken at 8:30pm. A menu is available online at the Head of Steam website and, includes light bites, soup, sandwiches, salads, pasta, burgers, steaks/grills, fish n chips, various pies and, daily specials.

So that I can forewarn the restaurant manager, please let me know if you'll be ordering food.

...and finally, don't forget. All those unwanted/unclaimed Christmas pressies, the ones that'll otherwise just sit in a cupboard, never again to see the light of day; bring 'em along and we'll raffle 'em off. Through your generosity last year, we made a chunk of change for two worthwhile causes. Hopefully we can do the same again this year.
