Poo Lagoon Skating? Traditional Cache

My dad used to always tell us stories about Ukiah winters when he was a kid and how it would get so cold the sewer lagoons would freeze and the towns folk would come out and skate on them...... Now I don't know if it is a true story but everytime I pass by here I think of that story and how nasty it would have been to fall through the ice. :) 

Drive out Mossie Road outside of Ukiah Oregon. Road can get muddy sometimes but for the most part is open year round.
