This Cache will take you through the new renovated chugach state park campground. Small camo cache with lots of swag. Winter & kid/stoller friendly. Posted under permit number 14-ka-973. If you see Ranger Tom say hello. $5 parking fee if you stay longer than 30 min...Congrats to biggriz on FTF and all the big money he found ':)
Bird Creek campground is located south of Anchorage at Bird Creek. The campground offers experiences ranging from fishing, hiking, whale watching, wildlife viewing, and spectacular sunsets. All have wooded sites with fire rings and picnic tables, water and latrines. In season, campground hosts offer assistance and answer questions about the area. Firewood is often available near the host site for a small fee. ADA facilities and handicap access public use cabin. Day use area and public use cabins are available year-round. Also great place to watch the boretide or beluga whales as they come in. 13.5 miles of paved bike trail (bike or ski) all the way to Girdwood is a bonus. This Park has newly renovated facilities that are beautiful and well planned out. Anchorage residents should take care of the resources and be proud to show them to visitors. Happy Caching! :)
