Keep your eye out for birds here! EAGLES!!!
You may see Red-Tailed Hawks, Wild Turkeys, Sandhill Cranes and if you’re really lucky you might spot the one of the eagles that come each year to this area to nest! If you walk from west to east on the boardwalk by this cache... and count to the 20th fence post... and look to the south you may see a large nest. And if you are there during eagle nesting season you MAY seen an eagle! This is all based on early 2014 when I was biking the trail and saw a photographer. He pointed out an eagle's nest... and a parent sitting on the edge! It was a special moment! I remember the nest being farther away than the one I saw when I placed this cache so I'm not sure if the eagle will come back. Hopefully so!
