Geocache Description:

Stan's Apple Number 8

Welcome to Stan's Apple, 36 mystery geocaches hidden around Stanthorpe, home to the Queensland Geocaching Mega Event 2015. A variety of geocaches await, so get solving and organise a trip to the Granite Belt.

* WARNING *
* THIS CACHE REQUIRES A DEVICE THAT CAN RECEIVE "CHIRP" SIGNALS *

The cache is not at the above co-ordinates, but there is a signal at this location that will lead you to it

Due to Groundspeak's non-commercial policy, I won't describe what Chirp is here. If you are unsure, I suggest you search the internet for more information.

One you have received the Chirp signal at the published co-ordinates, make your way to the newly received waypoint. Here you will find GZ!

A little note about Chirp - please be patient at the first WP. It can take a GPSr up to about 30 seconds to find the Chirp. To pick up the chirp, head south down the granite following the fence line towards the large burnt out tree and stand on the large tree which has fallen down. You can also access the large fallen tree from the roadside and head towards the large burnt out tree.

If you are still having problems, here is what I do. Turn off Chirp receiving on your GPSr. Turn off your GPSr fully. Turn back on your GPSr. Turn Chirp searching back on and wait on the large tree on the ground close to the burnt tree.
