Geocache Description:

1. Diplodocus…Are you taller than me?

2. Before entering Dinosaur National Monument, make sure and make a stop at “Dippy” the dinosaur and have your picture taken.

3. Are you as tall as a Diplodocus leg?

Dinosaur National Monument is absolutely spectacular! It is located near Vernal, Utah and surrounded by Uintah County on the southeastern flank of the Uinta Mountains between Utah and Colorado. This is the only place in the world where you can view and touch more than 1,500 dinosaur bones still intact in the mountain side and left partially exposed in their final resting place for the entire world to see.   The monuments cultural history dates back at least 10,000 years, while the dinosaur fossils were deposited approximately 149 million years ago.  There’s so much to see in the monument, it’s Quarry, the mountains, desserts, and rivers.
