Slightly NEW LOCATION: North end of the bridge; at base of the concrete lamp post stand - the rock closest to the walk way. (Easy find!)
On October 4, 2014 the City of Folsom dedicated the Johnny Cash Trail, a bike and pedestrian pathway near the corners of E. Natoma Street and Folsom Lake Crossing. This cache replaces a recent one nearby that was lost due to construction.
Johnny Cash helped make Folsom famous with his live performance at Folsom Prison in 1968. His hit "Folsom Prison Blues" became a worldwide sensation.
The trail features a bridge over Folsom Lake Crossing and a bike path next to a lot that will eventually be a small park dedicated to the singer's memory. From the trail you can look over pristine prison grounds and see wildlife such as turkeys and deer.
A small cache, about 10 inches long and 6 inches wide, just big enough for the log some small items. A quick, easy find, but difficult to get to due to rocks and slope.
A well-camoed rock.
