I was checking out some recently visible cars in the bottom of the reservoir. I explored the lake bed for a while. I spotted some sort of sign ir post across the lake bed. I couldn't find an east way to the other side so I went 500 feet up stream then bulldozed my way through the waist high plants thinking there had t be a mountain lion in there readt to pounce on me. Nothing pounced on me and I only had a could tricky footings to deal with. Though it is dry here, the ground is still moist. the ground is also cracked underneath the plants. Flattening the plants helped a bit.
I climbed the hillside and navigate along a pig trail I noticed some shoe prints too. Either pigs are wearing shoes or people have been this way as well. the path is sketchy and can be slippery when dry. When wet, no way would I do it. Eventually I reached the cache location. there was some sort of tunnel right there too but I didn't want to startle the bears that must be hibernating in there. I placed the cache along the perimeter fo the cave like opening I was standing in (not the tiny one in the bottom).
I went to check out what the sign ot post was. Interesting object. Afterwards, I navigated through the waist hight plants again to the creek bed that is in the middle and followed that back to the edge of the water.
I have attached some pictures of the cache, and the area.
It seems the reservoir is basically the dumping grounds for old cars, very many tires and countless beer cans and bottles. People really are horrible and treat the environment miserably. It is pretty sad state of affairs.
