The first KT event in 2015 brings us to Over Peover, a pretty village in the Cheshire countryside. Also known as Peover Superior, the village lies 5 miles south of the historic town of Knutsford. The name Peover means Bright Stream or Shining Water and refers to The Peover Eye, the river which forms one of the parish boundaries.
Our venue for the evening is the Park Gate Inn on Stocks Lane, postcode WA16 8TU. It is a small friendly country pub that serves evening meals during the week. We will add significantly to their normal turn out on a weekday evening, so please do log your intention to attend and whether or not you plan to eat in good time, so numbers can be passed to the pub and they can ensure they are prepared for the increased trade. Their planned food menu from Jan 2015 is available in the gallery image below.
The event will run from 7pm - 10pm. The evening will keep to the usual KT format of drinks, food and geochat with like-minded folk in pleasant surroundings. As it's winter I hope to hand out a short pub quiz, so that those who prefer the warm can stay put and be (mildly) entertained. For the hardier amongst us, who can't visit a pub without leaving halfway through to go for a walk in the cold dark night, there will be a new cache published a short stroll away at 8pm.
