Die Whisky-Brennerei PUNI
Ein Whisky braucht seine Zeit. Doch bereits nach kurzer Zeit ist klar, dass PUNI mehr als bloß die erste Whisky-Destillerie Italiens ist. Gelagert wird der Whisky z.T. in unterirdischen Bunkeranlagen aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg. Angepeilt werden drei Qualitäten, denn die Lagerung erfolgt in Bourbon Fässer aus den USA, Marsala Fässer aus Sizilien und Weinfässer aus Südtirol. Whiskyfans aus aller Welt dürfen sich also darauf freuen, ab 2015 edle PUNI Single Malts zu verkosten, die nicht eine Kopie des schottischen Originals sein wollen, sondern das Terroir Südtirols und Italiens mit einbeziehen.

Il Whisky ha bisogno di tempo. L’invecchiamento del Whisky avviene in bunker militari della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. L’obiettivo è produrre tre tipi di qualità. Una parte viene invecchiata in botti di Bourbon provenienti dagli Stati Uniti, un’altra in botti di Marsala provenienti dalla Sicilia e la terza in botti di vini speciali dell’Alto Adige. Amanti del Whisky di tutto il mondo dal 2015 potranno perciò godersi i nobili Single Malt di PUNI, che non vogliono essere semplicemente un’imitazione dell’originale scozzese, ma intendono includere proprio le specificità del territorio altoatesino e italiano.
The PUNI Whisky Distillery
Good whisky takes time. The whisky is aged in underground bunkers from the Second World War. We are aiming for three variant qualities, because the maturation takes place in bourbon barrels from the U.S., Marsala barrels from Sicily and wine barrels from Alto Adige. Whisky fans around the world can look forward to tasting the PUNI fine single malts starting in 2015. They do not seek to be a copy of the Scottish original, but rather, wish to include the terroir of Alto Adige and Italy.
