Geocache Description:

A quick multi along the scenic Three Rivers Heritage Bike Trail along the South Side of Pittsburgh. The trail is great for hikers, skaters, and bicycles.


Just like it is good to stop and smell the roses, this cache will get you to stop and learn some Pittsburgh history! HAHA Simply stop at the two informational placards listed as waypoints below to get the needed decimal digits.

The final coordinates for this cache are:

N40 25.ABC W079 58.DEF

where... ABC can be found at the Oliver Iron & Steel placard and DEF at the immigrant Steel Workers placard.

A= Second digit in either number in last paragraph of main info (i.e. larger font)
B= Number of colors of bricks from the factory machine shop that remain along the trail
C= Number of lines in the phrase beginning "Track bolts of any pattern..."

D= Second digit of century tens of thousands of immigrants arrived
E= Number of people in boarding house photo (be careful)
F= Last digit of year related to Wooden tenaments

You are looking for a camo'd mayo jar located just off the trail. As the trail is used by lots of two and four legged muggles, please use appropriate stealth. Hope you enjoy! BYOP
