The land for the cemetery was donated in 1910 or 1911 by P.G. Pederson. It was originally known as the Pederson family cemetery. It appears that the cemetery has never been plotted. The cemetery gets occasional maintenance only by community volunteers, who in recent years have been able to repair the fence in the front as well as rebuild the sign and entryway. The first known internment was in 1916 and last was in 1982. There are a total 31 known internments. That number was arrived at in during the last burial in 1982, by a manual count of the headstones present at that time, leaving the possibility that there could be more in unknown graves.
While there are no posted hours, I ask that the cacher only search for this cache during daylight hours out of respect for the cemetery. While you are here please take your time and look around, and enjoy all of the history here, but remember to be respectful, since the cemetery has been inactive for over 30 years, it is unlikely that you will run into any mourners but it is possible. Also remember to be respectful of the grounds and any other visitors that might not understand what we are doing. The cache is NOT located near any graves, but it is inside the cemetery fence, so you will need to walk into the cemetery in order to make the find.
Congratulations goes to Frisbee'r & Crystlcryptr for Co-first to Find!!!!!
