Back in the 70's, before this was a park, Norm Eustace took me and other Medina Park volunteers back to these wooded hills and awesome ledges that backed up to their home. He took great pride in being a self appointed caretaker and every time I hike here I remember him. Around the corner from the parking area there is a bench dedicated to him and his lovely wife, Phyllis looking over their "backyard".
