We have been fortunate enough to cache many times together and one of the earlier, more memorable times was a caching run throughout Yorke Peninsula. On this particular trip we were entertained with delightful stories from the “twins” family history.
Engaging stories about how and where their ancestors worked and lived, what times were like for those in the early 1900’s. Then stories of their own fond memories growing up and listening to tales from their grandparents & parents.
As far along as Inneston, we were shown the cottages & gypsum lake, at Stenhouse Bay, the remnants that remain from a time now past.
Both twins have a fondness of ruins and this location reminded us of the twins and their family’s history so we’re sure they would like to visit here one day.
If you know anything regarding the history of these ruins we’d like to read your stories too.
