| Lake County is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the population was 11,539. The county seat is Baldwin. |

| The county was set off as Aishcum County in 1840. In 1843 it was renamed Lake, for its many lakes. It was organized in 1871 |

To find the geocache, you must follow these instructions:
1. Read through the description of Lake County.
2. Let A = the last two digits of the year of the latest census. Let B = the last digit in the year the county was set off as Aschium County. Let C = the second digit in the year the county was renamed. Let D = the third digit in the year the county was organized..
3. Travel at a bearing of 277.3 degrees for ABCD feet.
4. You will find what you are looking for in a four trunk tree on the east side of the trail.
