LETTERS FROM HOME MARQUETTE COUNTY




Marquette County is a county located in the Upper Peninsula of the US state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the population was 67,077. The county seat is Marquette. The county is named for Father Marquette, a Jesuit missionary. It was set off in 1843 and organized in 1851. Marquette County is the largest county in land area in Michigan, and the most populous county in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Marquette County comprises the Marquette, MI Micropolitan Statistical Area.


The Huron Mountains are located in the county. To the north of the county is Lake Superior.


To find the geocache, you must follow these instructions:
1. Read through the description of Marquette County.
2. Let A = the third digit in the year the county was set off. Let B = The last digit in the population number minus the fiirst number in the population number. Let C = the number of letters in the Missionary's name minus one. Let D = the first digit of the year of the latest census.
3. Travel at a bearing of 106.7 degrees for ABCD feet.
4. You will find what you are looking for under the picnic area on the north side of the structure.
