Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America. Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout requires completing a minimum of 21 merit badges, including 13 specific “Eagle required” badges; and each Scout must complete a service project that he plans, organizes, leads, and manages.
In 2014, my son acquired the rank of Eagle. His Eagle project consisted of designing and building three booths at Allaire State Park. These booths are used for collecting fees for many events that take place in the park. With the help of fellow scouts and leaders from Troop 515, these booths were constructed over two days, with an additional day for staining.
2020 update: Due to weather and other forces beyond our control, the booths were damaged and had to be replaced. The booth at the posted coordinates were built by another Boy Scout as an Eagle project (congratulations to him!). Originally, the coordinates for this cache would be found by visiting one of the three booths built by my son and locating a travel bug tag affixed inside the booth. The TB page provides photos and information regarding the Eagle project, as well as the coordinates for the cache location
It is no longer necessary to visit the location of the Eagle project; the coordinates can be found on this page.
