Geocache Description:

Rosebank is a cosmopolitan commercial and residential suburb in the northwestern part of Johannesburg. The suburb is characterised by up-market shops and restaurants. It is a popular work area for young professionals.

The suburb of Rosebank is part of the original farm known as Rosemill Orchards, which was owned by Mr Lorenzo. Plots in the area were first sold by auctioneer Richard Currie in 1896. In 1919 the City Council renamed the first two streets in honour of British Admirals of World War I, and the trend continued afterwards. Rosebank and Dunkeld were two of the first suburbs to have trolley-bus transport in Johannesburg.

Stroll through the area on your way to the cache location. In the vicinity where the cache is hidden, you will find a relaxing avenue with famous quotes from Nelson Mandela and Ted Grant. You will be rewarded while sitting on the bench close to Ted Grant's words of wisdom.
