Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Worldwide Cache Exchange!

This idea was created by a group of geocachers on Facebook who thought it would be cool to trade items representing our native area/country to a cacher in a different part of the country/world.  As part of this exchange, my teammate andromedacosette, a cacher from the Hamilton, ON Canada, sent me an entire cache filled to the brim with swag that represents the area she lives in.  I then went and hid that cache.  As part of the exchange, I mailed a cache with swag representing Paris, TN to andromedacosette in Canada.  She hid the cache in her area the code is GC5KVR2.

There is a lot of swag in this cache, please trade even or trade up or don't trade! FTF: Gets a $2 Canadian coin, STF: Gets a $1 Canadian Coin! Please do not look for this cache on Sunday morning and as always use stealth, as I do not want it muggled and this building is used a lot.

This is the information she wanted me to tell you about Hamilton, ON: Population - almost 520000
Located at western end of Lake Ontario about halfway between Toronto Ontario and buffalo New York. 43 15'N 79 52'W
First European to arrive Étienne Brûlé in 1616.
Settled around 1815 by George Hamilton.
Became a city 1846.
Niagara escarpment runs east/west (locally known as the mountain) dividing city into upper and lower regions.
Over 100 waterfalls along escarpment.
City used to be known as 'steeltown' due to 2 large steel mills that employed almost 40000 at one time.
Manufacturing of a large variety of products still top employer. Medical research is becoming the next big thing.
Post secondary education is big. 3 universities and 2 colleges.
Home to Canadian football league team tiger-cats. And American hockey league team bulldogs. In 1920s had nhl team. Some one tried to buy Phoenix coyotes in 2009 and move them here. Obviously not successful.
Famous people. Saturday night live actor Martin short. Ghostbusters director Ivan reitman. Actor Eugene levy. A whole bunch of nhl players.

I've seen a little bit of controversy about this cache style on FB and want to make it clear that while she sent me the cache, it is placed under my care and it will be my responsibility to maintain it, therefore I 'own' it.  She will do the same for me in return.

The hide itself is not difficult to find once you arrive at GZ, but it's a bit of bushwhacking to get to the spot. It's a large lock-and-lock container.

This cache was hidden with permission from the executive pastor.
