Die Vinschger Bahn

Die neue Vinschger Zugbahn wurde am 05.05.2005 wieder in Betrieb genommen. Knapp 99 Jahre zuvor, am 1. Juli 1906 winkte Erzherzog Eugen aus dem ersten Zug, der den Bahnhof von Meran Richtung Mals verlassen hatte. Im November 1918 übernahmen die italienischen Staatsbahnen den Betrieb der Vinschger Bahn, setzten Jahre später, dafür aber Jahrzehnte lang, die berühmt-berüchtigte "Littorina", Glanzstück faschistischer Eisenbahnerkunst und Alptraum so mancher Zugpassagiere, im Vinschgau ein. Ende der 80er Jahre wurden die Gerüchte über eine Stilllegung immer lauter. Der letzte Zug fuhr am 09. Juni 1990. Der letzte Zug der alten Ära. Denn die neue begann bereits Ende der 90er Jahre mit der Übernahme der Bahnstrecke durch das Land Südtirol, das fortan Tunnels sanierte, Brücken erneuerte, die gesamte Strecke auf den neuesten Stand brachte, modernstes Rollmaterial ankaufte und am 05.05.2005 den ersten Zug nach Mals schickte. Eine neue Eisenbahn-Ära im Vinschgau hatte begonnen und auch eine neue Ära im öffentlichen Nahverkehr in Südtirol. Die heutige Strecke von Meran bis Mals ist fast 60km Lang und hat einen Höhenunterschied von knapp 700m. Ich wünsche euch viel Spass bei eurem Aufenthalt.

La nuova traccia ferroviaria della Val Venosta è stata nuovamente presa in funzione il 05.05.2005. Quasi 99 anni prima, il 1 luglio 1906c`era l'arciduca Eugenio che salutava dal primo treno che aveva lasciato la stazione da Merano a Malles. Nel mese di novembre 1918, le Ferrovie dello Stato ha assunto la gestione del Val Venosta, tradotto anni più tardi, ma per decenni, il famigerato "Littorina", il più conosciuto modello del regime fascista nella Val Venosta. Nelli anni '80 le voci di una disattivazione sono stati sempre più forte. L'ultimo treno dell`epoca vecchia è partito in data 09 giugno 1990. La nuova Epoca è iniziata già alla fine degli anni '90 con l'acquisizione della linea ferroviaria attraverso la Provincia autonoma di Bolzano, che d'ora in poi ha restarato le gallerie, rinnovata ponti, modernizato l'intero percorso e acquisito il più moderno materiale rotabil e 05.05.2005 ha inviato il primo treno per Malles. Una nuova era ferrovia Venosta era cominciata, e sopratutto una nuova era nel trasporto pubblico in Alto Adige. Il percorso di oggi tra Merano e Malles si sviluppa a quasi 60 km di lunghezza e ha un dislivello di circa 700 metri. Vi auguro buon divertimento.

The new Vinschger train route has again started on 05.05.2005. Almost 99 years before, on July 1, 1906 Archduke Eugene waved from the first train that had left the station from Merano to Mals. In November 1918, the Italian State Railways took over the operation of the Vinschgerbahn, translated years later, but for decades, the notorious "Littorina" showpiece fascist railroad has also been placed in Vinschgau. Because the new era began allready in the late 90s with the acquisition of the railway line through the Province of South Tyrol, which henceforth to restore tunnels, renew bridges, up to date the entire route brought, buy most modern rolling stock and on 05.05.2005 sent the first train to Mals. A new railway era in Vinschgau had begun, and a new era in public transport in South Tyrol. The today's drive from Merano to Mals is almost 60km long and has a height difference of about 700m.
