This is a tree free climb, please replace cache as found :-)
This tree climb is relatively easy, the first 10ft may be a challenge, once in the tree the fun begins, the cache is a small camo bison tube and should be a challenge to find amongst all the Ivy and many branches running out from the trunk (particularly in the summer) hence the difficulty level. Also the passing muggles may make for distraction. This trail is especially good for cyclists, but can be done in sections by walkers . This trail will take you along the 11 miles from Polegate to Heathfield. The trail is surfaced throughout and mainly traffic free. There are a few bits where you need to cross roads or travel on roads through urban areas. There is little evidence of the old railway line left today but occasionally you spot some gems peeping through the shrubbery and at one point you cycle along what was once a platform. The whole trail is alive with birds and other woodland critters. Look out for muggle walkers by the thousand at weekends and please be aware that horses share most of the route with you. The route from Polegate to Heathfield is gently uphill most of the way. I have tried to place most of the caches only a few paces off the path and in areas where you won't get scratched or stung to death but as always some may be a challenge.
