SANTUARIO DELLA MADONNA DELLE GRAZIE
sul dosso di Ecken, a Folgaria
La tradizione vuole che, verso la metà del XVI secolo, Fra Pietro Dal Dosso di Folgaria si mise all'opera e costruì una cappella. Nel XVII secolo il modesto edificio venne ampliato e munito di campanile. Dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, il Santuario fu affidato ai frati Cappuccini che vi rimasero fino al 1975.
La visita
Il Santuario si trova circa 2 km da Folgaria, nei pressi dell'abitato di Costa, ed è facilmente
raggiungibile a piedi mediante una facile passeggiata o in macchina (parcheggio nell'area adiacente).
La Patrona degli Sciatori d'Italia
Nel corso della sua storia secolare, il Santuario di Echen è sempre stato mèta di pellegrinaggi e dei molti fedeli che nella chiesetta hanno affisso gli ex voto per grazia ricevuta. La fama del Santuario crebbe tanto che il 1 agosto 1954, come ricorda una lapide sulla parete orientale della chiesa, il luogo sacro ricevette una visita d'eccezione: il Cardinale Patriarca di Venezia Giovanni Roncalli, futuro Papa Giovanni XXIII.
In seguito a quella visita, con decreto pontificio del 1955 la Madonnina di Folgaria venne solennemente dichiarata Celeste Patrona degli sciatori d'Italia.
Il cache è dedicato a davidandry e consorte, instancabili cacciatori “de scatoete”.

Tradition says that, in the mid-sixteenth century, Fra Pietro Dal Dosso Folgaria went to build a chapel. In the seventeenth century the modest building was enlarged and equipped with a bell tower. After World War II the Shrine was entrusted to the Capuchin friars who remained there until 1975.
The visit
The Sanctuary is located about 2 km from Folgaria, near the village of Costa, and is easily
reachable through an easy walk or drive (parking in the near area).
The Patron of Skiers of Italy
In its long history, the sanctuary of Echen has always been a place of pilgrimage. Many have posted votives for favors received. The fame of the Shrine grew so much that August 1, 1954, as remembered by a plaque on the east wall of the church, the Shrine received an exceptional visit: the Cardinal Patriarch of Venice Giovanni Roncalli, the future Pope John XXIII.
Following that visit, with papal decree of 1955, the statue of the Madonnina inside the temple was solemnly declared Heavenly Patroness of skiers in Italy.
The cache is dedicated to davidandry and his wife, indefatigables hunters "de scatoete".
