Haverhill Trails --Tattersall Farm Traditional Cache

The Haverhill Trails series will bring you to 11 of Haverhill's great outdoor places and along the way, in addition to learning some history and enjoying a hike, you'll have the opportunity to solve clues or quizzes leading to a 12th , unnamed  area and surprise cache.  Each container includes a question. As you compile the answers to the clues use the special substitution cipher  to convert that answer into the coordinates of the surprise cache.

A trail guide and map with lots of information about each area such as geology, wildlife and forestry is available at The Friends of Haverhill Public Library Gift Shop and Haverhill City Hall, Rm. 218 Inspectional Services, for a small cost.   Published by the Haverhill Trails Committee, an all-volunteer group that created and maintains the trails, the proceeds support actual expenses incurred.

This is an interesting area with open fields, wooded trails, abandoned farm equipment, brook crossings, a huge ancient tree and has often  been the site of the public event, "farm day, which encompasses a variety of activities of interest to diverse people. Watch for it in September.
