Continued from GEST 3: As I walk through the Valley of Death (GCR6QE)
Ah, this is much better now. Such a lovely place I think to myself. The trees seem forever green. Although it’s a nice pleasant day, I think of how this place would look like in the winter, with sheets of snow draped over everything. Even Santa Claus could call this place home. But I am abruptly removed from my thoughts of peacefulness by a jab in my side, as if being poked by a cane. I look around, but I am the only one here. I take a couple more steps and feeling that poking sensation again. I certainly can’t be going crazy yet, but once again I feel some sort of presence around me.
I see some movement out of the corner of my eye. Who’s there? No one answers. Once again I get poked. What is going on here? I thought I see an old lady hiding in the pines so I go to investigate. I enter a clearing and begin to get poked several times and I again see a glimpse of an old and frail looking lady, but she keeps disappearing. And once again with the pokes and jabs. Ok, that is quite enough, lady, please go on your way as you are really beginning to bug me. I hear a taunting cackle through the wind. The wind picks up and the trees start to rattle. Maybe it is I that should be on my way.
