Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Although it is a good place to get your feet wet! Read the story below to discover the true location... The names have not been changed to protect the innocent.

It was between Christmas and New Years, when I got the hankering for some Squirrel pot pie "Amish Style". You know the kind of WANT you wake up in the middle of the night for, that just won't go away until your satisfied! I had it bad, grabbed gun & Gear and headed to State Game Lands #52.  Being early upon parking I headed up towards Sterner hill, upon reaching the bluff where the trail forks, I saw that flash of tail heading down the hill. I left the trail and entered the forest in longing pursuit, the game was at hand. I used all the stealth I had as the leaves were crunchy, and made that sound, that speaks to all woodland critters in their native tongue. "DANGER!" The squirrel led me down the hill an I hungrily followed, the chickadees were chirping, a red headed woodpecker was banging for bugs, he had his quarry and mine was almost in range, when my foot spoke native critter... CRUNCH! The woods went silent, and dinner disappeared! I sat on a nearby log to wait... but dinner did not come back out to play.

After thirty  minutes and the assurance that dinner was best found elsewhere, I stood up to leave, and something under the log did not seem kosher, I knelt down and pulled out a 50 caliber ammo can. Not the regular size, but the extra large.  Upon opening it up I discovered it filled with toys for girls and boys.... This must have fallen off of Santa's sleigh! He really needs to strap his gear down tighter! So I though. I found upon further search of the contents, a log book which told me that this was... "ONE SERIOUS MAMMA JAMMA" I made a mental note of the word "Geocache" and figured I would Google it later. I closed the can and placed it back under the log, and headed out, dinner was waiting, somewhere.

TREE RAT ROCK

I headed across Edwards road to the spot I call "Tree Rat Rock". Always a rewarding spot with a great view when your down on luck, or "squirreless" the rock is leaf free, squirrels are plenty, and if there is rain or snow, it is always dry under the rock, however you should check for spiders. I sat on the rock and began picking off dinner, after triple success, and the approach of darkness, I gathered dinner and headed home.
That evening I sat at the computer with a large bowl of tasty, perfectly prepared pot pie and Googled Geocaching, I was filled with satisfaction and curiousity, like the proverbial cat!

In April the following spring, I returned to "Tree Rat Rock" and made my first official Find! The cache that was originally here was automatically exiled into archival due to an attribute in logging that required you to post your fear in your log! In tribute to Gosffo, Barkley here and now itchingly pants his fear "Acarophobia" and I again post "Arachnophobia" as my fear.

"Every itch should be scratched!"

"Nothing with eight legs deserves to live!"

I hereby place this cache in memorial to the previous! If you would also like to pay tribute to Gosffo, Be not afraid! FEAR NOT, to post in your log, your fear per the directions of the previous cache, however it is NOT REQUIRED for the smiley. As this is a Game Land hide it is hidden with the intent to be only found by purposeful intent, please hide as well if not better then found!

NOTE: While the WANT for squirrel pot pie can be satisfied, the WANT for caching cannot.
How many caches does it take for a cacher to be happy?
Just one more Find...
