山岳信仰の一つの富士講を行なった人たちによって、宝暦７年に舟山に設けられた石造物です。高さ１．３メートルの台石の上に直径７６センチメートルの安山岩製のドーナツ型の鏡石が乗せられています。
鏡石から霊峰富士山を遥拝して、講に弾みをつけて盛行しましたが、明治時代の終わり頃には衰退しました。
