Now for the nitty gritty in plain English [I did say plain and not correct English
]
We will be departing from the above coordinates, at 13:00hr Thursday 1st January [that's 1pm Thursday 1st of January for the non 24 hour users
I expect it to take us around 30 minutes to stroll to the Ddraig Metel, so we should arrive at approximately 13:30hr [1.30 pm], we will be at the location for at least 30 minutes, so at least until 14:00hr [2pm]
For a gentile stroll of approximately 0.65 miles 1.05km thats just 6.5 cache lengths] to the Ddraig Metel
, where Home Made [at great expense as I've had to promise the baker [my Daughter] the earth to make them
] Welsh Cakes, will be given to all Attendees.
From the Event Coordinates, where we will park up. We cross the Railway onto the Dee Estuary Foreshore, where will pick up the Wales Coastal Path. This is a Hard packed flattish route [and for those who heard me describe the Route to Penarth Mine as a easy stroll, I promise this one is flat with little blips, so suitable for all ages] We will divert of the Path to head up to the Ddraig Metel. The first section is a steeper slope, but there are steps for those who wish to use them. We will then have a short walk on firm but dependant on the weather squidgy grass. So Water Proof Boots or Wellies are recommended
Please be aware that we will be in a exposed area on the Tidal Estuary, so exposed to the elements. So please wear appropriate clothing, because we don't have tough hides, unlike Ddraigs
There will be No new caches going out on the day
the idea is for a gentile stroll, having a chat, and starting the New Year in a great manner, allowing those whose New Years Resolution is to do more exercise
to start the year in the way they mean to go on
