Geocache Description:

This is the sixth consecutive year in this annual series of Pi Day events I'll be hosting this event, and you better believe I wasn't going to miss doing something extra special for this year. Come on out and be part of continuing the tradition of this longest-running Pi Day event series in the world on what many see as this most special of Pi Days.

March 14. The date when it's most cool to be a geek. The date when irrationality is a most respected quality. The date when friends gather together for no other reason but to celebrate their most favorite transcendental number.

Pi Day is celebrated all over the world on 3/14, and students in some classes at the school where this event's CO teaches have a tradition of honoring Pi with a set of activities and challenges on March 14. But I have lost count of the number of times geocachers have asked for confirmation that I will be holding a Pi Day event on this very special day, 3/14/15. I plan on making this a Pi Day to remember.

The plan for this event is simple: meet at the very appropriate establishment at the posted coordinates at 9:00am enjoy breakfast together, and get a group photo taken at precisely 9:26:53.589 am. The event should end around 10:30am, but the fun won't end - be ready to celebrate Pi Day as geocachers should.

No, I haven't lost it in choosing the time that I did. I want us all to be together for 3/14/15 at 9:26:53.589. (If you're more time-sensitive than this and want to break this down to milliseconds, I'd probably respond by pointing out the fact that our system of designating time is based on sexagesimal (base 60) as opposed to the decimal version more commonly used in the representation of Pi anyway, so don't even start.) But hey, it's okay to exaggerate our geekiness for this special day, right? As such, you can expect some geeky goody giveaways plus some Pi-licious prizes too that you can only get here.

Please help us help you by posting your "Will Attend" and the number in your party as early as possible, and at least a week in advance. We want to make the occasion special for everyone, and we also want to let Perkins Restaurant know how many to expect. Thanks!
