Geocache Description:

Baslay hot springs are up in the mountains of negros oriental up above dauin. Before December 2011 it was a popular tourist spot the chill out and relax in the hot tubs full of water from the nearby sulphur springs.  On December 11 2011 a tropical storm called sendong destroyed most of the pools but recently someone has fixed them so great for a soak.

The road up to the springs is paved some of the way but other parts are rock and loose stone then there is the 250 steps down to the spring which are even harder on the way up but a lovely scenic walk through the shade of the trees. We have been there many times and have seen great wildlife including butterflies and tropical birds. If you follow the river up into the Forrest after around 50 m you will come to a nice waterfall.

When trying to locate the cache do t burn you feet in the water. And please replace the cache as you found it when you have signed the log book, it is a small clip lock box with note book, pen and a couple items for swaps.
