"My Culture, Mi Gente" was funded by the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities with some help from LAYC's Art+Media House. Joel Bergner was lead artist and worked with Latin American Youth Center artists to create this colorful mural that brightens the block with its presence.
Due to the proximity of this mural to another geocache, I've made this hide a two-stage simple puzzle cache in order to comply with geocaching.com rules. The second stage is within walking distance and conforms to the theme of this series.
The final coordinates are N 38° 55.abc, W 077° 02.def
...where abc and def must be replaced by correctly answering the following:
a = The number of artists who worked on "My Culture, Mi Gente"
b = The last digit of the year in which the mural was completed
c = The year in which the mural was completed minus 2003
d = The number of children being served a meal
e = The number of dishes being served to the child
f = The number of fish in the mural
You can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.
As usual with city hides, coords are approximate; once you see the murals you'll need to rely on your geosense more than your GPS. Please remember to replace just as found, practice stealth, don't forget your writing utensil and ignore the hints until you can't -- enjoy!
** Congrats to Bucephalus123 for his 2nd DC FTF! **
