For a quick trip in and out you'll need to take a water taxi and that will cost you. You'll probably want to spend some time in this beautiful part of paradise - Aotearoa so you're looking at a minimal 2 day experience here. The place gets busy in the NZ summer months and you'll need to book through DOC.
This geocache is guaranteed to give you a heartwarming experience.
Pack some food and a tent and tramp your way in, or kayak your way around the coast, or maybe catch a water taxi. If staying in the park you'll need to register with the Department of Conservation: https://booking.doc.govt.nz/Menu.aspx?sg=ATC
The cache is a reasonably large container so you should be able to spot it.
This cache has been put together by 24 Year 8 (12-13 year old) students from Fairhall School, their teacher and Principal in memory of one of our teachers who loved geocaching among other things to do with the environment.
We walk through this park every December so will maintain the cache annually. We're all about sustainability.
