Geocache Description:

A series of geocaches accessed from Old Burnt Store Road in the Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park. There are 9 gates in this section of the Preserve that allow access to approximately 1,000 acres and 12 miles of park roads.

OBSS II is accessed through the northernmost gate at the north end of Old Burnt Store Road.  The trail leading to the cache is through a mix of Pine flatwoods and Scrubby flatwoods. Yucca Pens Creek parallels the trail to the north for its entire legnth. It's only a short hike (approximately 3/4 mile) to the edge of Charlotte Harbor, and a short stretch of beach, but the last few hundred feet of the trail are usually underwater.  This cache was placed by the staff of the Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park.
