Geocache Description:

Enjoy the cairns along the trail as you make your way to the cache.

Come visit Chris Greene Lake Park!

The park has 239 total acres with hiking and mountain biking trails perfect for you and your furry friends. Before recently visiting the dog park here, my dog and I took a short hike around the White Rock Loop. I was struck by how many cairns had been placed along the trail here, and we even came upon a woman and her daughter who were adding to the cairn collection! While the trail is easily to follow all the way around, a few cairn markers probably don't hurt. The cache name came from the prevalence of these markers added to a name I had for an earlier cache placement that didn't work out. The cache shouldn't be too difficult to find once at ground zero.

Chris Greene Lake Park is open during daylight hours year round. Daily user fees of $3 for Albemarle County residents and $4.50 for non-County residents are collected during the summer months.

Print a copy of the trail map located here before you go.

Enjoy the hunt!
