Geocache Description:

Located in the new Collier Cove Nature Preserve park, which is currently Buncombe County's newest public park.

Collier Cove Nature Preserve consists of over 29 acres of woodland hillside with two miles of strenuous hiking trails with views of the valley and the eastern Butler Mountain Range. The park offers the steepest hiking trails of any public park owned by the county.

The cache is near the edge of the park. Inside the cache is a "puzzle." You do not need to solve the puzzle in order to log this cache. However, if you wish to solve the puzzle, it will lead you to a Mystery cache placed in the park.

The puzzle is in a red resealable storage bag. Please do not remove the red bag from the cache and please do not remove any items from the red bag. These items are necessary to solve the puzzle in order to find The Mystery of Collier Cove, GC5HW41.

The county warns that these trails are challenging and steep. However, even I was able to hike them, and I am not a great hiker. The park closes at dark.
