Welcome to Romsey Elim Pentecostal Church, also known as Romsey Christian Centre, which is located just under half a mile from Romsey town centre. The church was originally built for the Primitive Methodists but was sold to the Elim Trust Corporation in 1935 when the Primitive Methodists united with the Wesleyan Methodists.
The Elim Pentecostal Church Movement was formed in 1915 by George Jeffreys a young Christian from Maesteg in South Wales and a group of friends, known as the Elim Evangelistic Band. the name Elim comes from the book of Exodus in the Bible, an oasis in the desert that the people of Israel discovered as they wandered through the desert.
The church has no graveyard, so don't worry, you will not be going around for hours looking for an obscure date on an old headstone
