David Peoples Cemetery Traditional Cache

A small rural non-perpetual care cemetery in Boone County.  A small driveway is available at the entrance but the gates are closed so there is just enough room to park off the road.  The container is small with log only so bring your pen or pencil.  As with all cemeteries, do not hunt after dusk or before dawn and be respectful of the area.

Some history from iagenweb.org web site: David Peoples Cemetery is located in Peoples Township. This cemetery is often confused with Peoples Cemetery, which is also located in Peoples Township. David Peoples Cemetery was erected by Angeline (Peoples) Noland. It is a small cemetery located on 300th Street.

Additional info from me:  The brick entry way was erected in 1932 by Angeline Noland Peoples. A 2011 survey indicates 72 burials , but it seems there are fewer stones so several are likely unmarked at the time of the cache placement. The cemetery appears to be well mowed but several stones over turned and left where they fall or placed on the pedestal. Several with our surname are here, but no relatives that I know of.
