While looking for another geocache on the preserve, I came across this particular spot. I loved this area so much that I wanted to place a cache here. I met up with the preserve manager and spoke with him about geocache placement. This cache was placed with his permission.
This cache contains information about a nearby feature.
The 50cal ammo can is located just off the red trail, however you'll be starting on the purple trail. Grabbing a trail map at the main parking area would also be helpful. Please note... It is against the rules to cut across any trails. Please stay on the trails.
Please keep your dog leashed. Even if your dog is well behaved, from a bird's point-of-view he is a threat, which research has shown can prevent birds from nesting in areas like this.
Snow can make the footing around GZ VERY tricky, so attempting this cache in the snow is not recommended. Please use caution.
