Geocache Description:

This is one of ten caches placed for the 2015 Cache Across Maryland. Each location was picked specifically to give cachers a taste of the state and show you its beauty. By combining all ten, you'll be able to see why Maryland is truly "America in Miniature". We hope you enjoy them!

Terrapin Park sits on 276 acres of Bay front land north of the Kent Island Terminus of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The park includes over 4,000 feet of shoreline and 73 acres of wetlands, making it a destination for nature and wildlife enthusiasts. From the two observation blinds which border the tidal ponds, herons, ospreys, swans, turtles, bullfrogs and a variety of songbirds can be seen.

A great view, regardless of the season!

Terrapin Park is open from dawn to dusk. You can get to the cache by following the trail to the beach and walk along the beach or take the slightly longer inland route.
