Geocache Description:

This is one of ten caches placed for the 2015 Cache Across Maryland. Each location was picked specifically to give cachers a taste of the state and show you its beauty. By combining all ten, you'll be able to see why Maryland is truly "America in Miniature". We hope you enjoy them!

Milburn Landing is part of the Pocomoke River State Park and is located on the opposite side of the Pocomoke River from Shad Landing. The park's combination of swamp and upland offers visitors the opportunity to view a great variety of plant and animal life, including white dogwood and pink laurel in the spring, river otters and bald eagles, and over 50 species of fish.

Park is officially April 3 - December 7, but the gate should be open early for the opening of CAM. If the gate is not open, you may park without blocking the gate and hike in - it'll be about a mile each way. Park is only open sunrise to sunset.

Walk down maintenance road between day use are and boat ramp parking. Follow the small ditch/unmarked deer trail into the woods. Approximately 30 feet off trail is a tree with a hollow in the bottom. You should find the cache there. Near this tree is a bigger tree with two branches that go up, as if the tree is stretching. Minimal bushwhacking, if any.

Make sure to notice the small stand of Maryland's largest Loblolly Pine trees on your way to the cache!
